Finding artistic outlet through working wood, photography, and things that grow, I spend quite a bit of time in a turnery (ShopDog Turnery) working wood, wandering the world with a camera, and tending a small tree farm. I am an economist by trade, professor at a small university. Surprisingly enough my vocation as an economist and my avocation as a photographer have intersected. As an academic interest I have traced the movements of a twelfth century stone carver in Catalonia. The data, not surprisingly, are photographs of his workshop's carvings.
